Warren Drops Hint of Major Boxing Event in Saudi Arabia

Promoter Frank Warren of Queensberry Promotions has indicated that another big fight is coming to Saudi Arabia - in the month of March.

Warren has been the promotional force behind several of the major boxing events to take place in the Middle East.

Saudi Arabia was the home for Tyson Fury's crossover boxing match with Francis Ngannou in October, and the country hosted the big 'Day of Reckoning' event last month.

On February 17 in Saudi Arabia, Fury will collide with Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight crown.

The month of March was originally pegged for a long-awaited heavyweight showdown between Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua.

However, the scenario was derailed when Wilder suffered an upset decision loss to Joseph Parker on the 'Day of Reckoning' Card.

Warren reveals that another big fight is on the way and is heading to the month of March. It's currently unclear if Joshua will be involved in the contest.

“We are working on [other fights] and there will be a press conference early in January to announce the undercard for Tyson’s show and also what is happening in March," Warren told Talk Sport.
“It’ll be very interesting, that’s for sure. It’ll be a big fight. This whole thing has been a game changer. That was the phrase I used from the beginning with Tyson vs Ngannou. I just felt this was gonna lead to something special, and the last show was special.
"The next one on the [February] 17th is very, very special with all the titles on the line. Four belts on the line, that’s going to be magnificent. The other guys have got to keep winning, to keep in the running to fight the winner down the road.”
