UFC on ESPN 35 took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. on Saturday 30th April, which is on Sunday 1st May in Australia.
In the main event, Rob Font (19-6 MMA, 9-5 UFC) defeated Marilyn Vera (21-7-1 MMA, 11-6 UFC) in bantamweight. In the co-feature, former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlowski (34-20 MMA, 23-14 UFC) met Jake Collier (13-7 MMA, 5-6 UFC).
Font lost weight and was fined 20% for his Fight Purse, but the competition went ahead as planned.
Font's job was at the point, and a change of attitude opened up Vera, who used her legs and knees to good effect. The font output was incredible, but Vera did extensive damage. Winning the unanimous decision, Vera said, "Today I feel something my coach always says: Your brain is finally catching your body. It's a long way for me, a long journey. Hard work
"When you do your best to win, and put everything else aside, life will give you a good victory. In the co-main event, heavyweight legend Andrei Arlowski competed against shooting star Jack Collier and covered three hard rounds.
Collier's damaging shots vs. Arlovsky's counters and experience led the fight to the judges, who led Arlovsky to victory by a split decision. After winning the decision, Orlovsky said, "I was convinced that the last removal meant I lost. In the third round, I had to pay for the victory, but I got what I got. One step closer. "After my performance tonight, I have one thing to do. Lots of homework with my coaches. Let's go."
Also on the card, Andre Felli (21-8) faces Jonderson Breto (12-3-1) in the featherweight, Jared Gordon (19-4) is lighter than Grant Dawson (17-1-1). Lightweight and Darren Elkins (27-1-1). 10) Featherweight faces Tristan Conley (14-7). In addition, Krzysztof Jutko (23-5) and Gerald Mershiert (34-14) compete in the middleweight division.
