UFC 307 Weigh-In Results: Pereira and Pennington Ready for Title Defenses
Alex Pereira

The highly anticipated UFC 307 is officially set for Saturday night in Salt Lake City, with two championship bouts headlining the card. Alex Pereira and Raquel Pennington successfully made weight at the official weigh-ins, confirming their title defenses in the main and co-main events, respectively.

Alex Pereira, the reigning light heavyweight champion, hit the scale at 205 pounds, matching his challenger Khalil Rountree Jr., ensuring their showdown for the light heavyweight belt. Pereira, known for his striking power, will look to make a statement against the dangerous Rountree in what promises to be an explosive contest.

In the co-main event, bantamweight champion Raquel Pennington will defend her title against long-time rival Julianna Peña. Pennington weighed in at 135 pounds, while Peña came in just under the limit at 134.5 pounds. This bout marks a culmination of a heated rivalry between the two fighters, and with both making weight, fans can expect a thrilling fight.

Kayla Harrison, the former two-time PFL champion, also successfully made weight, coming in at 136 pounds for her main card bout against Ketlen Vieira. Harrison, who has recently transitioned to the UFC bantamweight division, has her eyes on a future title shot. Should Harrison defeat Vieira and earn a title shot, she must make 135 pounds or lower to be eligible for a championship opportunity. Harrison hopes to secure a shot at the bantamweight belt if she prevails on Saturday night.

All fighters on the UFC 307 card successfully made weight, including former two-time strawweight champion Carla Esparza, who has announced her retirement following her bout with Tecia Pennington. Esparza weighed in at 115.5 pounds, ready for her final octagon appearance.

With the weigh-ins complete, UFC 307 is set for an action-packed night at the Delta Center, headlined by two championship bouts and a stacked undercard.
