As the excitement for UFC 298 reaches a fever pitch, the weigh-in results have added an extra layer of anticipation to the highly anticipated event. Reigning featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski successfully tipped the scales at 144.5 pounds, alongside his undefeated challenger Ilia Topuria, setting the stage for a thrilling title clash.

With all 10 main card fighters making weight, including middleweight contenders Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa, as well as bantamweight contenders Merab Dvalishvili and Henry Cejudo, fans can expect nothing short of explosive matchups come fight night.

However, the preliminary portion of the card witnessed some last-minute drama as a late injury forced a switch-up in a heavyweight bout. Marcos Rogerio de Lima found himself without his scheduled opponent, Justin Tafa, but luckily, Justin's brother Junior stepped in, ensuring the bout proceeded as planned.

While most fighters made weight within the first 30 minutes of the official weigh-in window, strawweight contender Mackenzie Dern added a touch of suspense as she arrived with less than 15 minutes remaining. Nonetheless, Dern exuded energy and confidence as she hit the mark at 116 pounds, ready to face Amanda Lemos on short notice.

As the stage is set and the fighters are primed for battle, UFC 298 promises to deliver an unforgettable night of action-packed bouts. With Volkanovski and Topuria headlining the event, backed by a stacked main card and compelling preliminaries, fight fans are in for a treat.
