Tommy Fury, a light heavyweight prospect, will have his back against the wall next month, with added pressure from his fighting family.
Fury is set to face YouTube sensation turned boxer Jake Paul in Saudi Arabia on February 25.
On two previous occasions, they were supposed to collide. Fury retired in 2021 due to an injury sustained during training camp. Fury was forced to withdraw from the fight last year after being denied entry into the United States.
Tyson is not the only one who has spoken out. If his son loses the upcoming fight with Paul, his father, John Fury, has vowed to retire him from the sport.
“There is no more boxing for him if he loses. But, I am 100 percent confident he will knock him out. It’s a big ask for Jake Paul, because Tommy is much better than what he’s faced before, so fair do’s to him," John Fury told Talk Sport.
“It’s a foregone conclusion that Tommy will win. We are not leaving a stone unturned and are training as if this were against a world-class fighter. He’s working really well. Tommy will be very famous on the 26th of February.”
