As the highly anticipated UFC Heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic approaches this November, rumors are swirling about Miocic's potential injury. British heavyweight contender Interim Champion, Tom Aspinall recently appeared on Michael Bisping's podcast and addressed these rumors adding fuel to the fire of speculation surrounding the matchup.

Aspinall was clear that the information he shared is unconfirmed. "As I said, these are just rumors at this point, there’s a lot of talk but there’s nothing announced yet, these are all rumors," Aspinall said. "I’m hearing rumors that Stipe is potentially injured, this is stuff that I’m hearing from my inner circle."

Miocic, who recently turned 42, has not fought since his knockout loss to Francis Ngannou in 2021. The time away from the octagon and his age have led many to speculate that the former champion could be more susceptible to injuries. Aspinall hinted at this possibility, saying, "Stipe I believe his birthday was yesterday actually I seen, he’s 42 years old the guy is gonna be injury prone."

The potential for an injury could have major implications for the UFC Heavyweight division. Aspinall, who has been making waves in the division, made it clear that he is ready to step in if needed. "If that does happen, I’ll be there, I’ll be ready to jump in with either of you guys for the undisputed title if one of you is gonna pull out," Aspinall declared.

Aspinall’s confidence and readiness to seize an opportunity are indicative of his ambition to become the undisputed champion. He also sent a direct message to Jones, the reigning champion, saying, "If you successfully defend against Stipe in November, I will be there front row, I want you to hand me the undisputed title as you walk past me, please."

As the fight draws closer, the UFC community will be watching closely to see if these rumors hold any weight. If Miocic is indeed injured, the door could open for Aspinall to challenge for the title sooner than expected. For now, fans will have to wait and see how this story unfolds, but one thing is certain: Tom Aspinall is ready to take on all comers in his quest for heavyweight gold. Fight.TV is here for it!
