After a series of setbacks, the highly anticipated bantamweight showdown between rising star Raul Rosas Jr and Ricky Turcios is back on track, now scheduled to take place at a UFC Fight Night event on June 8.

Multiple sources familiar with the UFC's plans have confirmed that both fighters have received bout agreements for this rescheduled matchup, signaling an exciting return for Rosas after a brief hiatus due to illness.

Originally slated to face off at UFC Mexico City in February, Rosas was unfortunately sidelined by illness just before the fight, leading to its cancellation. Efforts were made to reschedule the bout for UFC Vegas 87 a week later, but fate intervened once again, forcing a second cancellation.

Now, with renewed determination, Rosas and Turcios are primed to reignite their rivalry in June, promising fans a thrilling clash between two dynamic bantamweight contenders.

At just 18 years old, Rosas made a significant impact in his UFC debut, showcasing his talents with an impressive 2-1 record, including a swift first-round finish in his last outing against Terrence Mitchell in September.

On the other side, Turcios, the Ultimate Fighter Season 29 champion, faced a setback in his last fight against Aiemann Zahabi but rebounded with a victory over Kevin Natividad in November 2022. Now, he looks to make a statement against Rosas and climb back up the bantamweight ranks.

The UFC Fight Night on June 8 is set to take place at the prestigious UFC APEX in Las Vegas, promising fight fans an action-packed evening of MMA. While the main event for the card has yet to be confirmed, the addition of Rosas vs. Turcios adds an exciting matchup to an already highly anticipated event.
