Tawanchai PK Saenchai has carved his name into the elite ranks of the ONE Championship since his debut in 2021. The reigning ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion has dazzled fans with his technical mastery, but according to him, he’s only getting started.
On March 23, at ONE 172: Takeru vs. Rodtang, Tawanchai will step into the ring once more—this time, to battle Japanese powerhouse Masaaki Noiri for the ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Title inside the iconic Saitama Super Arena in Japan. Despite his dominance in the sport, the 25-year-old remains grounded, acknowledging that his journey to greatness is still unfolding.
“I can’t say whether I will become a legend yet. It depends on my future performances to convince fans worldwide to consider me a legend,” Tawanchai shared, proving that even champions recognize the importance of continued growth.
For young fighters looking to follow in his footsteps, Tawanchai has one piece of advice—hard work never goes unnoticed. He knows firsthand that success in combat sports isn’t overnight; it’s earned through relentless dedication.
“If you want to go this route, you have to go all the way. Be diligent, disciplined, and focus on your goals,” he emphasized. “I want everyone to grit their teeth and be patient. Success will surely come.”
The path to greatness isn’t easy—it’s grueling, filled with obstacles, and demands perseverance. But for those willing to endure the grind, the rewards are worth it. Tawanchai reminds young fighters that the sport can be life-changing, but only if they commit fully.
“Don’t be discouraged because combat sports can make you rich these days. You have to go all the way if you want to come this way.”
With his eyes set on another championship, Tawanchai continues to inspire the next generation, proving that with discipline and resilience, anything is possible.
