A thrilling clash between two of the world's best flyweight Muay Thai fighters is set to headline ONE Friday Fights 68 on June 28. The event will feature current ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion “The Kicking Machine” Superlek Kiatmoo taking on rising Thai star Kongthoranee Sor Sommai in a highly anticipated bout.
The event will be broadcast live in Asia prime time from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Both fighters are entering the contest on impressive winning streaks in ONE Championship, making this showdown even more compelling.
Superlek, widely regarded as one of the top pound-for-pound strikers in the world, is on a nine-fight winning streak dating back to 2021.
His victories include notable wins over fighters like “Mini T” Danial Williams, long-reigning flyweight Muay Thai champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangon, and Japanese star Takeru Segawa. Superlek's streak features four highlight-reel knockouts and victories in both Muay Thai and kickboxing.
Despite his upcoming challenge for the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title in September, Superlek is not taking his fight with Kongthoranee lightly.
The Sor Sommai representative has made a name for himself with his aggressive boxing style, strong clinch game, and relentless approach. Since his ONE debut in February last year, Kongthoranee has amassed an 8-1 record, including a seven-fight winning streak.
In his most recent bout in April at ONE Friday Fights 58, Kongthoranee secured a six-figure contract with ONE Championship after defeating young prodigy Jaosuyai Mor Krungthepthonburi. Now, he is aiming to dethrone Superlek and claim the top spot in the flyweight Muay Thai division, setting the stage for what promises to be an electrifying showdown at ONE Friday Fights 68.
