Thai superstar Superbon is on the verge of a major opportunity as he prepares to face “Smokin’” Jo Nattawut in a highly anticipated featherweight Muay Thai bout. The two will square off on September 27 in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 81 at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. For Superbon, this fight offers a chance not only to solidify his position among Muay Thai's elite but also to potentially earn a shot at becoming a two-sport World Champion in ONE Championship.

Having watched Nattawut's career closely, Superbon is eager for this long-awaited clash.

“Jo and I have been watching each other for a long time, as we both fought in kickboxing and then Muay Thai. We have been close to each other but never had the chance to lock horns,” Superbon stated, acknowledging Nattawut’s reputation as a well-rounded and dangerous fighter.

Nattawut has faced top competitors like Giorgio Petrosyan, Regian Eersel, and Chingiz Allazov, adding further excitement to their showdown.

While the bout is a high-stakes encounter for both athletes, it holds even greater significance for Superbon. Nattawut is already slated to challenge Tawanchai PK Saenchai for the Muay Thai World Title at ONE 169: Atlanta on November 8, meaning this contest will play a critical role in determining the future of the featherweight division. Superbon sees this as a golden opportunity to make his case for a title shot.

“If I can win this fight impressively, I’m pretty sure that I’ll get a shot for the Muay Thai World Title,” he said. Becoming a two-sport World Champion is a lifelong ambition for the Thai fighter, who added, “For me, a goal in life is something that we have to achieve at all costs.”

Despite Nattawut’s power and relentless fighting style, Superbon remains confident in his experience and ability to handle the challenge.

“Jo is indeed a heavy hitter,” Superbon remarked, but he believes his past bouts with hard-hitting kickboxers like Marat Grigorian, Petrosyan, and Allazov have prepared him well. “I’m confident that I can handle them.”

As the Muay Thai clash approaches, Superbon is determined to prove his worth and edge closer to his dream of becoming a two-sport champion.
