Renato Moicano is ready to set the UFC’s lightweight division ablaze in 2025. The Brazilian fighter, known for his charisma and ferocious fighting style, is laser-focused on climbing the ranks, with ambitions that go beyond the lightweight gold. Among his goals? A high-stakes bout against former featherweight champ and “BMF” titleholder, Max Holloway.

Riding an impressive four-fight win streak, Moicano will face Beneil Dariush at UFC 311 in January 2025. This crucial lightweight matchup in Inglewood, California, offers Moicano a golden opportunity to prove his mettle against the division’s elite. A win could edge him closer to the championship conversation, but Moicano’s sights are already set higher.

"I would love to do that, especially Max Holloway now says he’s done at 145," Moicano revealed in an interview ."If he really wants to be a 155’er, I think that would be an awesome fight, especially because that’s going to put me on [track for a title shot]."

“100 percent if you beat Max Holloway, you’re fighting for the title. It’s a fight that I would be willing to take 100 percent.”

At 35, Moicano has captured fans’ attention with his ability to finish fights spectacularly. Victories over Benoit Saint-Denis, Jalin Turner, and Brad Riddell have showcased his skill, and his candid podcast has only enhanced his popularity. Moicano’s larger-than-life personality makes him a perfect contender for marquee matchups like the one he envisions with Holloway.

While he’s open to battling the outspoken Paddy Pimblett, Moicano emphasizes his broader ambitions.

“I will do what the UFC wants,” Moicano said. “Like I said, the title is good, but I want to build a brand. I want to build something bigger...so after I’m done, I can capitalize on that.”

With his confidence, skill, and fan appeal, Renato Moicano is poised to become a dominant force in 2025. Whether it’s Max Holloway, Paddy Pimblett, or another top contender, Moicano is ready to leave a lasting legacy in the UFC.
