Prajanchai Eyes Kickboxing Rematch with Jonathan Di Bella After ONE Fight Night 28 Victory

Prajanchai PK Saenchai reaffirmed his dominance in the strawweight division with an emphatic victory at ONE Fight Night 28, and now he’s looking ahead to his next challenge. Fresh off defending his ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Title, the Thai superstar has set his sights on returning to kickboxing.

Competing in the main event at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, February 7, Prajanchai put on a striking clinic against British challenger Ellis Badr Barboza. After systematically dismantling his opponent, the fight was stopped by the doctor in the fourth round, securing another statement win for the reigning champ.

With both the Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Titles in his possession, Prajanchai is eager to stay active throughout 2025. While he remains open to defending his Muay Thai throne, he has made it clear that his next goal is a title defense in kickboxing. And he has a specific opponent in mind—former champion Jonathan Di Bella.

Prajanchai previously faced Di Bella in June 2024 at ONE Friday Fights 68, where he claimed the ONE Strawweight Kickboxing World Title via unanimous decision. Now, the Thai legend is more than willing to run it back with the Italian-Canadian star.

“Well, I don’t have any names in mind right now in terms of Muay Thai, but in kickboxing, I would like to face Jonathan Di Bella,”

Prajanchai stated, leaving no doubt about his preferred matchup. However, before any rematch can materialize, Di Bella must first get past Sam-A Gaiyanghadao. The two will battle for the ONE Interim Strawweight Kickboxing World Title at ONE 172: Takeru vs. Rodtang on March 23 in Japan’s Saitama Super Arena. While intrigued by the fight, Prajanchai remains neutral in his prediction.

“It’s difficult to say who would win,” he admitted, “but I just really want both of them to do their best.”

As one of the most decorated athletes in ONE Championship, Prajanchai’s next move will have major implications for both Muay Thai and kickboxing. Whether it’s a title defense or a highly anticipated rematch, fans can expect him to remain at the top of the sport for the foreseeable future.
