PFL Unveils New Superfight Championship Belts Ahead of Ngannou vs. Ferreira Showdown
PFL Superfight: Ngannou vs. Ferreira

This Saturday, the PFL will showcase its newly designed Superfight championship belts as Francis Ngannou faces Renan Ferreira in the headline bout of the PFL pay-per-view event in Saudi Arabia. Both fighters will be competing for the PFL Superfight heavyweight title in what promises to be a thrilling contest between two powerhouse athletes. The event marks Ngannou’s highly anticipated return to MMA after vacating the UFC heavyweight title to join PFL.

Ngannou, known as "The Predator," last competed in an MMA bout in January 2022 when he defended his UFC title against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270. Since then, he has ventured into boxing, facing high-level opponents Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, though he lost both matches. Now, Ngannou is set to make his PFL debut in an explosive matchup against Ferreira, a surging contender who has finished his last four opponents. Ferreira's most recent victory came in just 21 seconds against Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader at the PFL vs. Bellator event in February, adding even more intrigue to this showdown.

In addition to Ngannou vs. Ferreira, the PFL revealed that Cris Cyborg and Larissa Pacheco will battle for Superfight championship gold. Cyborg, making her PFL debut, steps back into the cage after over a year away from MMA. She has stayed active in boxing, securing two knockout victories earlier this year. On the other hand, Pacheco comes into the fight riding high off two consecutive $1 million PFL championships, including a memorable win over Kayla Harrison at the 2022 PFL World Championships.

With the unveiling of the new Superfight belts, fans are eagerly awaiting these marquee matchups, as the PFL aims to close the year with a bang.
