MMA fans, mark your calendars! The PFL has officially announced its lineup for the 2024 playoff season, promising a series of adrenaline-pumping events across the United States this August.
In a recent announcement, PFL revealed that PFL 7, 8, and 9 will showcase the best fighters in various weight divisions, setting the stage for intense showdowns and high-stakes matchups.
PFL 7 begins the action on August 2nd at the historic Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Tennessee. Headlining the event is a clash between heavyweight contenders Denis Goltsov and Tim Johnson. Meanwhile, the co-main event features a battle in the women’s flyweight division with Dakota Ditcheva facing off against Jena Bishop. Notable matchups on the card include Oleg Popov versus Linton Vassell and Liz Carmouche against Taila Santos, promising an evening of fierce competition.
Two weeks later, on August 17th, PFL 8 takes center stage at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida. The event will showcase the talent in the light heavyweight and lightweight divisions. The main event boasts a highly anticipated rematch between reigning champion Impa Kasanganay and Josh Silveira in the light heavyweight category. Also on the card, fans can expect thrilling bouts such as Rob Wilkinson versus Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov, Gadzhi Rabadanov against Michael Dufort, and a clash between former Bellator lightweight champion Brent Primus and Clay Collard.
The playoff excitement culminates on August 23rd with PFL 9 at The Anthem in Washington D.C. This event will feature the welterweight and featherweight divisions, showcasing top-tier athletes vying for their shot at championship glory. The main event pits 2022 featherweight champion Brendan Loughnane against Kai Kamaka in a battle for supremacy. Co-headlining the event is a showdown between Magomed Umalatov and Don Madge. Other notable matchups include Gabriel Braga versus Timur Khizriev and Shamil Musaev against Murad Ramazanov.
