Paddy Pimblett's Contract Finale: What’s Next for "The Baddy"?

As UFC 304 approaches, fight fans are eagerly anticipating the bout between Paddy Pimblett (21-3 MMA, 5-0 UFC) and Bobby Green (32-15-1 MMA, 13-10-1 UFC). This fight, scheduled for July 27th, marks a significant milestone in Pimblett’s career—it will be the last fight of his current contract with the UFC.

Paddy "The Baddy" Pimblett has made a name for himself in the UFC with his flamboyant personality and undeniable talent inside the octagon. Undefeated in his UFC tenure thus far, Pimblett’s journey has been nothing short of impressive. However, as he heads into this crucial fight, fans and analysts alike are left wondering what his future holds.

In a recent interview, Pimblett expressed his commitment to the UFC but also left the door open for other opportunities. "It goes without saying: I wouldn’t want to go to a different organization," he stated. "You never know, though. Some of these stupid YouTubers who are boxing could end up offering me millions to end up fighting one of them. So we’ll see what happens."

Pimblett's reference to YouTubers in boxing is a nod to the recent trend of crossover fights, most notably involving personalities like Jake Paul. These bouts, often seen as spectacles, have brought significant financial rewards to those willing to participate. For Pimblett, this could be a lucrative option, albeit one that might divert him from traditional MMA competition.

Beyond the prospect of boxing, Pimblett has his eyes set on climbing the UFC rankings. "Obviously, if I fight again this year, then I’m going to want to fight someone else and get in the rankings, and I’m going to want to fight someone higher up in the rankings," he said. Pimblett also mentioned Renato Moicano as a potential opponent, suggesting that a season of "The Ultimate Fighter" featuring the two would be "absolutely hilarious" and "one of the best seasons they’ve ever done."

The decision ahead for Pimblett is a significant one. Staying with the UFC offers the potential for higher-ranked opponents and greater recognition within the MMA community. Conversely, stepping into the boxing ring against a high-profile YouTuber could yield a substantial payday and bring new eyes to his career.

As fight fans, the question now is: what should "The Baddy" do next? Should he remain in the UFC, aiming to climb the lightweight ranks and solidify his legacy in MMA? Or should he take a detour into the world of celebrity boxing, where the financial rewards could be immense but the risks and challenges are different?

No matter what Paddy Pimblett decides, his charisma and fighting prowess ensure that fans will eagerly follow his next steps. Whether it's continuing his rise in the UFC or stepping into the boxing spotlight, Pimblett's future promises to be as exciting as his journey thus far. So, what do you think, fight fans? Should "The Baddy" continue with the UFC or should he go on to box someone like Jake Paul? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below! Fight.TV is here for it!
