ONE Championship Yet to Reach Out as Michael Page Explores Free Agency

In a surprising twist of events, ONE Championship's CEO, Chatri Sityodtong, has disclosed that the promotion has not made any contact with free agent sensation Michael Page, leaving fight fans wondering about the future of the dynamic British fighter.

Page recently revealed his newfound free agent status on The MMA Hour, stating,

"I am currently unemployed. It's time for me to explore what else is out there."

While he expressed openness to potentially returning to Bellator, the charismatic striker aims to gauge the interest he generates across the MMA landscape. However, Chatri Sityodtong's recent revelation indicates a different dimension to Page's contractual situation.

"We haven't reached out yet to Michael Page," Sityodtong stated on Just Scrap Radio.

He went on to highlight that, contrary to Page's declaration, the fighter is still seemingly under an "exclusive matching period" for a substantial duration. This unexpected twist leaves fans speculating about the terms of Page's contractual status.

Despite the current lack of communication, Sityodtong couldn't help but admire the fighter's skillset and potential fit within the ONE Championship roster.

"I think he is a very exciting fighter. I think he is very fun, his skillset would do very well in ONE with the multi-disciplines whether it's mixed martial arts, kickboxing, or muay Thai for Michael Page."

Page's impressive record of 21-2 and his highlight-reel style have garnered him widespread recognition in the MMA community. Notably, he secured a TKO victory over Goiti Yamauchi in his most recent outing, showcasing his continuing prowess.

While fans eagerly await the next chapter in the career of Michael "MVP" Page, the intriguing situation underscores the unpredictable nature of the fight game and leaves the door wide open for potential exciting matchups and opportunities on the horizon.
