NFL Star Maxx Crosby Joins BKFC Ownership Group to Expand Combat Sports Horizons

The Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) has added another high-profile athlete to its ownership group. NFL standout Maxx Crosby, a four-time Pro Bowl defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders, is the latest addition to the team, joining UFC star Conor McGregor as a prominent figure within the promotion’s ownership ranks.

Crosby expressed his enthusiasm for the raw appeal of bareknuckle fighting in a written statement, saying,

“Bareknuckle fighting is raw, real, and incredibly engaging for fans. I have always been passionate about combat sports, and I see BKFC as a platform that not only showcases the incredible skill, talent, and athleticism of these fighters but also brings a unique and authentic experience to combat sports enthusiasts.”

Known for his passion for combat sports, Crosby has built a strong relationship with UFC leadership, frequently attending events and even appearing on UFC programming. During a recent appearance on ESPN’s UFC Live, Crosby shared an interesting anecdote: UFC Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell jokingly suggested he could become a UFC heavyweight champion if he pursued a career in mixed martial arts.

While Crosby appreciates the compliment, he admitted his existing injuries from the NFL make a transition to fighting unlikely. However, he left the door slightly open, not completely ruling out a future foray into combat sports.

At just 27 years old, Crosby has already established himself as one of the NFL’s premier defensive talents. In his seven seasons with the Raiders, he has earned two second-team All-Pro honors and built a reputation as a team leader, currently serving as one of the Raiders’ captains.

By joining BKFC, Crosby brings not only star power but also a fresh perspective to the promotion. His involvement highlights BKFC’s growing appeal and its potential to attract new audiences beyond traditional combat sports fans.
