As the year comes to a close and the holiday season warms our hearts, it’s time to reflect on who’s made Santa’s list in the world of MMA and boxing. Fighters have given us jaw-dropping moments and controversies alike, so let’s see who’s landed on the Naughty and Nice lists for 2024.
The Naughty List
1. Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor’s year has been anything but jolly. While his talent and charisma are undeniable, his off-cage antics landed him on Santa’s bad side. This year, McGregor lost multiple endorsements and faced a civil lawsuit over a rape accusation where he was found liable. While McGregor admitted to having sex with the accuser, he claimed it was consensual. The legal fallout cast a long shadow over his career and personal life, including rumors of strain on his marriage. It’s safe to say this was not a banner year for the former champ-champ.
2. Walt Harris
Walt Harris faced a major setback this year when the UFC suspended him for four years after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs. The suspension tarnishes his legacy and puts his future in the sport in serious doubt. Steroid use is a serious offense in the fight world, and Harris’ inclusion on the Naughty List serves as a reminder of the importance of playing fair.
3. Renan Ferreira
Renan Ferreira made headlines for all the wrong reasons this year. In the lead-up to his fight with Francis Ngannou, Ferreira’s trash talk crossed a line when he brought up the death of Ngannou’s son. Instead of accepting defeat with grace, Fury came up with a laundry list of excuses, ranging from referee bias to phantom injuries. The Nice List

Ilia Topuria made history this year by becoming the first fighter to knock out Max Holloway. Topuria’s skill, determination, and willingness to face tough opponents have made 2024 a breakout year for him. His exciting performances have been a gift to fans around the world.
4. Jim Miller
Jim Miller’s longevity and consistency continue to amaze. 5. Oleksandr Usyk
