Muhammad Mokaev is returning to his roots after an undefeated run in the UFC. The highly touted flyweight, whose contract with the UFC recently expired, has re-signed with Brave CF, the Bahrain-based promotion where he first made a name for himself. Brave CF confirmed the news, marking a significant homecoming for Mokaev, who spent the early stages of his career there.

Brave CF president Mohammad Shahid expressed his enthusiasm about Mokaev’s return, addressing the challenges the fighter faced and the promotion’s commitment to fairness and inclusivity.

"There has been an unjust persecution of his character and attempts to use defamation to feed personal vendettas, and it is evidently clear that there are no clear reasons as to why the best athlete in the world cannot compete," Shahid stated.

He emphasized that Brave CF is proud to welcome back Mokaev, an undefeated superstar and amateur legend, who has proven to be one of the best flyweights in the world.

Mokaev's departure from the UFC comes on the heels of a victory over Manel Kape at UFC 304. Despite his unblemished record and status as a rising contender, the UFC chose not to offer him a new contract. UFC CEO Dana White cited multiple issues outside the cage, including a pre-fight altercation with Kape, as factors that led to the decision.

"There was so much bad shit that happened behind the scenes with that thing. Not good," White commented, alluding to various incidents that influenced the UFC's choice.

With the UFC chapter of his career now closed, Mokaev returns to Brave CF, where he previously compiled a 4-0 record with one no-contest. His re-signing with Brave CF is seen as an opportunity to reinvigorate his career and continue his rise in the world of mixed martial arts.
