Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is delivering a must-see event for combat sports enthusiasts. The upcoming BKFC 67, scheduled for October 12 at Marbella Arena in Marbella, Spain, promises an intriguing matchup between two well-known MMA media personalities: Ben Davis and Oscar Willis.
Ben Davis, known in the combat sports world as "The Bane," has become a rising figure in the industry through his commentary work with various promotions and as on-air talent for DAZN and Misfits Boxing. Davis has also been active in various fighting disciplines. Despite recent losses in grappling and boxing, including a match against Gabriel Silva, son of the legendary Anderson Silva, Davis showed resilience by winning his Karate Combat debut by unanimous decision.
Reflecting on his upcoming bare-knuckle fight, Davis shared,
“This is easily the craziest thing I’ve ever done. Odds of me getting slept again are high, but f*ck it, we ball.”
He added that while his primary focus remains on his broadcasting career, he wants to test himself in different combat sports while he's still young and capable.
"I believe this all ends with an MMA debut next," Davis stated, hinting at future plans.
Davis will face Oscar Willis, a prominent figure in MMA media as the face of The Mac Life. Willis made his MMA debut in 2022, securing a unanimous decision win at Tuff-N-Uff: Fight for Our Troops 11. Although BKFC 67 marks his first fight since then and his bare-knuckle debut, Willis is confident in his choice of opponent and venue.
“BKFC felt like the right promotion, Bane felt like the right opponent, and a bull fighting arena in Spain felt like the right venue,” said Willis, who respects Davis but is ready to bring his best to the fight.
BKFC 67 is also set to feature a headline bout for the vacant lightweight title between Franco Tenaglia and Tony Soto, adding to the excitement of the event.
