Max Holloway, the former UFC featherweight champion, will return to the Octagon in April to face Arnold Allen.
The main event of a UFC Fight Night event is planned for April 15 and will feature a huge featherweight match between Max Holloway and top challenger Arnold Allen.
The last time Holloway (23-7) competed, he lost to current champion Alexander Volkanovski via decision at UFC 276 in July.
Given that it was his third defeat to Volkanovski since 2019, the defeat put Holloway in a precarious position in the division.
Although Holloway is still widely regarded as the UFC's second-best featherweight, as long as Volkanovski remains the champion, it will be difficult for him to have another title fight.
At 145 pounds, Allen (19-1) is one of the most promising competitors who hasn't competed for a championship. Allen, who is from Suffolk, England, enters this main event with a perfect 10-0 record in the UFC. His most recent victories over Calvin Kattar and Dan Hooker were both by TKO.
