Lights, Camera, Action: Explosive Lightweight Showdowns Headline UFC Austin on Dec. 2

Let the sparks fly and the adrenaline surge because UFC Austin is gearing up for a memorable night on December 2. The octagon will witness two electrifying lightweight bouts as Beneil Dariush goes toe-to-toe with Arman Tsarukyan in the main event, while Dan Hooker squares off against Bobby Green in the co-main event at the Moody Center.

In a thrilling announcement, UFC CEO Dana White revealed that both the main and co-main events will be fought over five intense rounds, promising fans an extended display of skill, grit, and heart.

Beneil Dariush, the seasoned contender, is making his return to the cage after his eight-fight winning streak was halted by Charles Oliveira in May. Dariush, who accumulated three Performance of the Night bonuses and a Fight of the Night award during his incredible run, is now determined to bounce back and climb his way back to the top of the division.

Arman Tsarukyan, on the other hand, aims to continue his momentum after securing two consecutive victories against Joaquim Silva and Damir Ismagulov. With a 7-2 record in the UFC, Tsarukyan is looking to make a significant statement after his only losses came at the hands of current lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and in a razor-close decision to Mateusz Gamrot.

The co-main event features an exhilarating matchup between two fighters fresh off impressive wins. Dan Hooker, who recently returned to the lightweight division, put on a stellar performance against Claudio Puelles and Jalin Turner. Green, the ever-entertaining veteran, comes into this fight following a blistering 33-second victory over Grant Dawson and a submission win against former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson.

With the stage set for Dariush vs. Tsarukyan and Hooker vs. Green, the UFC is set to light up Austin once again. The excitement doesn't end there, with other thrilling matchups confirmed, including Kelvin Gastelum vs. Sean Brady, Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Rob Font, Miesha Tate vs. Julia Avila, and Khalil Rountree vs. Azamat Murzakanov. So, get ready for a night of pure adrenaline and world-class action!"
