KSI vs Tommy Fury: YouTube Star Challenges Boxer To Prove Himself

The long-awaited showdown between YouTube sensation KSI and professional boxer Tommy Fury is finally happening. The two have agreed to face each other in a boxing match on October 14 in Manchester, England. The announcement was made on social media by both fighters and the streaming platform DAZN.

KSI, who has over 23 million subscribers on YouTube, has been calling out Fury for a while, claiming he can do what Jake Paul failed to do. Paul, another YouTube star turned boxer, lost to Fury by split decision in Saudi Arabia earlier this year. KSI and Paul have a heated rivalry, having fought twice in the ring, with KSI winning the rematch by split decision in 2019.

Fury, who is the half-brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has a professional record of 7-0 with four knockouts. He has been boxing since he was a child and comes from a fighting family. He is also known for his appearance on the reality show Love Island in 2019.

KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, has only one professional fight under his belt, which was his victory over Paul. However, he has been training hard and believes he has what it takes to beat Fury. He also accused Fury of trying to change the terms of the contract and demanded him to sign it by July 3 or he would move on.

“We agreed on all of that, and then you decided to move the goalposts yet again,” KSI said in a video posted on his YouTube channel. “Now you’re demanding that we fight at 185, or we’re not fighting at all. Like, what the fck is wrong with you?
You’re meant to be the fighter!.. Constantly chatting bullsit left right and center. Tommy, you need to realize who the f*ck you’re talking to, I don’t need to do this. I don’t need to fight, I choose to fight… You have until Monday, 3rd of July, 6 PM to sign the contract or I’m moving on.”

Fury apparently met the deadline and signed the contract, as both fighters confirmed the fight on their social media accounts. The bout will be streamed live on DAZN and is expected to draw a huge audience from both the boxing and YouTube communities.

KSI’s last fight ended in controversy, as he was initially declared the winner by knockout over Joe Fournier in April. However, the result was overturned after replays showed that KSI landed an illegal elbow during the second round. He will be looking to redeem himself and prove his critics wrong by beating Fury.

The fight between KSI and Fury is one of the most anticipated events of the year and will surely generate a lot of buzz and excitement. Who will emerge victorious in this clash of cultures and styles? Will KSI shock the world and knock out Fury? Or will Fury show his superior skills and experience and dominate KSI? The answer will be revealed on October 14. Don’t miss it!
