British YouTube sensation turned professional boxer KSI has signaled his interest in stepping into the ring with MMA icon Conor McGregor. The move comes amidst swirling rumors of McGregor's potential boxing match against Logan Paul, a bout reportedly backed by Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani.
When a fan shared a mock poster envisioning a fight between KSI and McGregor, KSI didn’t shy away. “Not rumored,” he clarified on Twitter. “I’m very down.” His candid comment caught McGregor’s attention, prompting a retweet from the Irish superstar, sparking more speculation about a possible showdown.
While Logan Paul appears to be prioritizing his WWE career, KSI’s willingness to step in adds another layer of intrigue to McGregor’s rumored return to boxing.
The two aren’t strangers to trading barbs. Back in 2016, they collaborated on promotions for the UFC 2 video game. However, McGregor has since made light of KSI’s boxing career, even mocking him during an Anthony Joshua fight in 2023.
“KSI couldn’t box eggs if he worked in an egg-boxing factory,” McGregor quipped, showcasing his signature brash style.
KSI, with a 4-1 record (1 NC) as a professional boxer, last fought in October 2023, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Tommy Fury. On the other hand, McGregor has been sidelined since his gruesome leg injury during his UFC 264 bout against Dustin Poirier in 2021.
As KSI openly eyes a clash with McGregor, fans are left wondering if this matchup could become a reality. With McGregor’s return to competition still uncertain, KSI’s bold challenge adds fresh excitement to the influencer boxing scene.
For now, all eyes remain on McGregor and the potential for his highly-anticipated return, whether against Paul, KSI, or another opponent.
