Kai Stewart Fired Up for BKFC World Featherweight Title Defense

Kai Stewart, the proud native of Great Falls, MT, is gearing up for a monumental showdown as he prepares to defend his BKFC World Featherweight Championship for the second time against the undefeated Bryan Duran (6-0) on June 21. The highly anticipated bout is set to headline BKFC 62 in Hollywood, FL, and will be broadcast live worldwide on The BKFC App.

At just 23 years old, Stewart is eager to leave a lasting impression, especially with the recent involvement of Conor McGregor, who has become a part owner of BKFC. McGregor's swift victory over Jose Aldo in a UFC featherweight title bout back in 2015 left a lasting impact on Stewart, inspiring him to pursue a career in combat sports.

Stewart has dedicated himself to his craft, and his hard work is evident in his rise to become one of the most promising stars in combat sports. Heading into BKFC 61, Stewart is brimming with confidence, dismissing any doubts about his upcoming bout.

"People are high if they think I’m going to lose this fight," Stewart asserts confidently. "I’m locked in. Everything I’m doing is perfect.
Having Conor McGregor backing and promoting this fight is just one extra tiny, tiny fire lit underneath my (expletive), because at the end of the day it’s business as usual."

Stewart, who boasts an undefeated record in his first five appearances in the Squared Circle, has his sights set on emulating McGregor's success beyond the ring. However, he acknowledges that continued success in the ring is paramount to achieving his aspirations.

While Stewart respects Duran's skills, he is fully focused on extending his winning streak in what he anticipates to be a hard-fought battle.

“I expect a war with Bryan,” Stewart acknowledges, “but I expect a very, very one-sided pounding and I’m swinging the hammer.”
