As the anticipation builds for UFC 299, Joe Rogan sends out a stern warning to Dustin Poirier about the formidable challenge that awaits him in the form of Benoit Saint-Denis, aka "The God of War." The two fighters are set to square off in a five-round co-main event at Kaseya Center in Miami on March 9, promising a showdown that MMA fans won't want to miss.
Known for his ferocity and a 100 percent finish rate, Saint-Denis has left a trail of destruction in his wake, stopping his past five opponents, including a stunning Performance of the Night head-kick knockout of Matt Frevola at UFC 295. Rogan, in his UFC 297 episode of the Fight Companion on Spotify, couldn't help but rave about the Frenchman's abilities, labeling him as a "f*cking killer."
“This is the big fight, Dustin Poirier and Benoit Saint-Denis,” Rogan emphasized. “That Saint-Denis guy is a f*cking killer. He’s such a killer, that guy’s such a scary guy.”
Despite Poirier's extensive experience and impressive UFC record, Saint-Denis has opened as a slight favorite. Rogan acknowledges the toughness of the upcoming battle, expressing that Poirier needs to be prepared for the challenge brought by the relentless "God of War."
“I’m telling you, that Benoit Saint-Denis is next level,” Rogan warned. “He’s got furnaces going in his eyes. You look into that guy’s eyes, there’s hell going on behind those eyes. He’s built for it. So, him vs. Dustin is very exciting, and Dustin better be ready to go. You better be ready to go with that guy, because he’s going to try and make a name off of him.”
With the clash of these two warriors on the horizon, UFC 299 promises to be a night filled with intensity, as Poirier braces himself for the challenge presented by the "killer" that is Benoit Saint-Denis.
