Jeremy Kennedy Prepares to Outmuscle Bellator Champ Patricio Freire at Bellator Champions Series: Belfast

Kennedy has set his sight on the gold strap
Jeremy Kennedy vs. Patricio Freire

In the upcoming Bellator Champions Series: Belfast co-headliner, Jeremy Kennedy is gearing up for a showdown with Bellator featherweight champion Patricio Freire, expressing confidence in his physical prowess.

Kennedy, with a record of 19-3, believes he holds a strength advantage over Freire, who currently sits at 34-7 and is on a two-fight losing streak. Despite Freire's impressive track record, Kennedy remains focused on the challenge ahead, training diligently to face the best version of "Pitbull."

Reflecting on Freire's recent losses, Kennedy acknowledges the uncertainties surrounding which version of Freire will show up. However, he emphasizes his preparation, stating,

"I'm training like I'm fighting the best 'Pitbull.'"

While Freire's losses came outside the featherweight division, Kennedy sees the impact of Freire's recent cut to 135 pounds as a potential factor in their upcoming fight. Kennedy believes his size and physicality at featherweight will give him an edge over Freire.

"The fact that he could, and did, make that weight not even that long ago, within a year, I don’t think he’s going to be able to put on the muscle properly to even compare with me physically," Kennedy explained.

As Kennedy gears up to face Freire, he aims to showcase his physical dominance and prove that he is the stronger fighter in their matchup.
