Jason Jackson Prepares for First Title Defense Against Ramazan Kuramagomedov

Bellator Welterweight Champion Jason Jackson is gearing up for his first title defense after clinching the belt at Bellator 301. Jackson secured the championship with an upset third-round knockout victory over Yaroslav Amosov, earning him the nickname "The A**-Kicking Machine."

Following his title win, Jackson faced Ray Cooper III at last month's PFL vs. Bellator event. Jackson continued his winning streak with a second-round TKO victory, showcasing his skill with a slick leg kick and powerful punches.

Now, Jackson is set to defend his title on June 22 at the Bellator Champions Series event in Dublin, Ireland. His opponent will be Ramazan Kuramagomedov, a dangerous 12-0 submission specialist. Kuramagomedov is known for his lethal rear-naked choke, as demonstrated in his last fight at Bellator 301 against Randall Wallace.

While Jackson is renowned for his striking abilities, he will need to be prepared for Kuramagomedov's strong ground game. Despite Jackson's proficiency in striking, he faced challenges in grappling practice against UFC rising star Shavkat Rakhmonov last year.

To secure victory and retain his title, Jackson will likely need to keep the fight standing, utilizing his striking and cardio advantages. However, if Kuramagomedov manages to take the fight to the ground, Jackson could be in for a tough battle, potentially leading to a new champion in Bellator's welterweight division.
