Jake Paul to fight Andre August in his next Boxing Fight

Jake Paul will face Andre August (10-1-1, 5 KOs) in an eight-round cruiserweight clash on Dec. 15 at Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Fla. The fight was announced by Most Valuable Promotions on Wednesday via press release. Paul is fresh off a unanimous decision victory over former UFC star Nate Diaz in August.

That win helped him recover from a boring split decision defeat to his longtime nemesis Tommy Fury. Paul, who transitioned from YouTube to pro boxing, is breaking away from his usual trend of fighting other social media stars and MMA fighters like Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, and Ben Askren.

“I’m a pro boxer and I have a dream of becoming a world champion, so I have to follow the road to greatness against people who have dedicated their lives to boxing,” Paul said in the release. “

"Until now, all of my boxing matches have been on pay-per-view, but now it’s more than just business. Now I want to gain more experience in the ring against skilled fighters. I’m coming to show my greatness on Friday, December 15th live on DAZN for everyone to see.
