Jake Paul Secures Unanimous Decision Victory Over Mike Tyson in Netflix Main Event
Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson

Jake Paul triumphed over boxing legend Mike Tyson in a highly anticipated Netflix event, but the fight fell short of the electrifying spectacle many had hoped for. Throughout eight rounds at AT&T Stadium, Paul outpaced the 58-year-old former heavyweight champion, securing a unanimous decision with scores of 80-72, 79-73, and 79-73.

From the opening bell, Paul took control by using his agility to move around the ring and deliver precise jabs and combinations. Tyson, while still a fan favorite, struggled to keep up, showing his age as the fight wore on. By the end, Paul had landed 78 punches to Tyson’s 18, though the fight featured no knockdowns or dramatic moments.

“First and foremost, Mike Tyson … he’s a legend, he’s the greatest to ever do it,” Paul said post-fight, praising his opponent. “I was trying to hurt him a little bit. I did my best.”

Tyson, while gracious in defeat, made no excuses for his performance.

“Absolutely happy [with the fight],” he said. “I knew he was a good fighter. I came to fight. I didn’t prove nothing to anybody, only to myself. He’s a very good fighter. Absolutely [he deserves respect].”

The match saw Paul sticking to a conservative game plan, relying on his speed and stamina to outmaneuver Tyson. Despite some attempts from Tyson to close the distance and launch power punches, Paul maintained control, landing effective counters while avoiding unnecessary risks. The crowd grew restless during slower moments, but the younger fighter stuck to his strategy, ensuring a comfortable win.

Though Tyson showed flashes of his legendary power, his limited mobility and lack of sustained offense made it difficult for him to mount a serious challenge. Still, he left the door open for a potential return under the right circumstances.

“I don’t think so [that it’s the last one],” Tyson remarked about fighting again.

As for Paul, he improved his professional record to 11-1 and celebrated the event's massive success on Netflix.
