Jake Paul has offered Carl Froch a two-fight deal after recent comments from the retired British boxer. Froch had insinuated that some of Paul's past opponents had taken dives and also claimed that Paul would never target him because he wouldn't call out a professional fighter.
Paul, who is now 6-0 in the boxing ring against opponents from other sports or disciplines, caught wind of Froch's comments and responded with a two-fight offer. He also brought finances into the conversation, saying that Froch is only interested in the payday.
"Carl Froch mad because I made more in 1 year than he made his whole career. You want the payday. I get it. So let's do this, fight Anderson Silva on my next card and if you get lucky and beat him, then we can step in the ring and you make your career payday. Let me know."
Paul fought Anderson Silva in October of 2022, knocking the MMA legend down on the way to a decision victory. He clearly feels that Froch would struggle to do the same.
This isn't the first time that Froch has taken a dig at Paul. He once ripped up a sheet of paper with Paul's name on it, calling him a "clown" and a "ponce" and saying that he didn't deserve to be mentioned alongside professional boxers. Froch has also claimed in the past that he would beat both Jake and his brother Logan in the same night after just some light training.
Despite being retired, Froch now has a bonafide offer to step back into the ring and face one of the Paul brothers. However, Froch is currently backing Tommy Fury to beat Jake Paul in their upcoming fight on Sunday, February 26 in Saudi Arabia.
It remains to be seen whether Froch will take up Paul's offer, but if he does, it could be a huge payday for the former super middleweight champion. It would also be an opportunity for Paul to prove his worth against a professional boxer, which is something that Froch believes he would never do. Either way, the prospect of a fight between these two outspoken personalities is sure to generate plenty of interest and excitement in the boxing world.
