Invicta Fighting Championships is set to return on November 6th with Invicta FC 58, featuring a headliner that sees former UFC strawweight contender Emily Ducote face off against Yulia Ostroverkhova. The event will take place at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Missouri, continuing the promotion’s strong presence in the city where it has hosted many of its marquee events since its inception over a decade ago.
Emily Ducote’s return to Invicta is a highly anticipated homecoming. After parting ways with the UFC following a tough stretch, she is eager to re-establish herself in the promotion where she once reigned as strawweight champion. Ducote's most recent UFC fight, a split-decision loss to Vanessa Demopoulous in May, marked her third loss in four outings. Her prior defeats came against Lupita Godinez and Angela Hill. Despite her recent struggles, Ducote (12-9) remains a force in the division and is looking to bounce back in a familiar setting.
For Ducote, the upcoming fight is not just about redemption but also about rekindling her winning ways in Invicta, where she last fought before joining the UFC. She earned the Invicta strawweight title with a devastating knockout over Danielle Taylor in 2021 and successfully defended the belt by finishing Alesha Zappitella in May 2022.
Her opponent, Yulia Ostroverkhova (3-2), is coming off a decision loss to Valesca Machado in August, making this an important bout for both fighters to climb the ranks in the strawweight division.
Invicta FC 58 will also feature a stacked undercard, showcasing top talent in women’s MMA. In the co-main event, flyweights Kate Bacik and DeAnna Bennett will square off. Additionally, atomweight contenders Saori Oshima and Ana Palacios will meet, and Shanna Young faces Amanda Torres in a flyweight contest. The event promises to be a night full of action and high-stakes matchups.
Fans are eager to see if Emily Ducote can reclaim her form in the promotion where she found success, and whether Ostroverkhova can pull off a significant upset.
