The stage is set for UFC Seattle, with all fighters successfully making weight ahead of Saturday’s event at Climate Pledge Arena. The headliner sees former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo take on rising bantamweight contender Song Yadong in a pivotal matchup.
At Friday’s weigh-ins, Cejudo tipped the scale at 135 pounds, while Song used the one-pound allowance for non-title fights, coming in at 136 pounds. For Cejudo, this bout represents a make-or-break moment, as the former Olympic gold medalist and UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion looks to secure his first victory since 2020.
Ranked No. 7 in the UFC Bantamweight Rankings, Cejudo returned to competition in 2023 after a three-year retirement but fell short in his comeback fight. Meanwhile, Song ranked No. 8, is looking to make a statement by defeating a UFC legend and taking a major step toward title contention.
The co-main event features a rematch between top-15 middleweights Brendan Allen and Anthony Hernandez. The two first clashed in 2018 under the Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA) banner, where Hernandez claimed a unanimous decision victory.
At the weigh-ins, Hernandez narrowly made weight, stepping on the scale at 186 pounds in the final minutes of the two-hour window. Allen also came in at 186 pounds, setting the stage for a highly anticipated rematch.
