In a surprising turn of events, Slaughter to Prevail frontman Alex Terrible—real name Aleksandr Shikolai—has announced his entry into the world of bare-knuckle fighting. Known for his guttural screams and powerful stage presence, the Russian deathcore singer is swapping the mosh pit for the BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) ring, with his debut expected in December 2024.

Alex Terrible has made a name for himself as the face of Slaughter to Prevail, a heavy metal band that’s quickly risen to fame, boasting over 1.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify. However, fans of the band may be shocked to learn that Terrible’s passion for music is matched by a newfound love for fighting.

Announcing his transition from music to fighting, Terrible revealed his unorthodox journey during an interview with Full Send MMA.

“I’m just a musician, I’m not a fighter, I’m not a sportsman, or some shit,” he stated. “I’m just a regular dude who grew up in the streets. You call it in the hood. In Russia, if you grow up in a village, it is the hood. Then I found a boxing gym, I found myself in this f*cking boxing, a new passion.”

While the details of his first fight are still under wraps, the 30-year-old singer hinted at a potential matchup with social influencer Bryce Hall. Despite the uncertainty, Terrible is unfazed, emphasizing that his primary goal is to deliver an entertaining fight.

“I just want to fight and I have nothing to lose because I’m a musician,” he said. “If they put me against a fighter and if I knock him out, good. If he knocks me out, I don’t f*cking care. I just want to put on a good fight and show what I have in my heart. That’s it.”

As Slaughter to Prevail wraps up its current tour in September, fans can expect Alex Terrible to fully dedicate himself to training for his BKFC debut. Whether he’s behind the mic or inside the ring, one thing is clear—Alex Terrible is determined to leave his mark.
