One of the greatest flyweight champions in history, Pancho Villa was born Francisco Guilledo in Ilog, Negros Occidental, Philippines today in 1901.
Villa became the first Asian and Filipino world champion when he stopped the great Jimmy Wilde in 1923. He was never knocked out in his entire boxing career, which ended with his sudden death at only 23 years old from complications following a tooth extraction. Gone to soon and to young, happy heavenly birthday champ.
