Did Nate Diaz decline the chance to fight Jake Paul in MMA?

Jake Paul claims that he gave Nate Diaz the opportunity to compete in one MMA match in addition to their boxing match, but Diaz turned the offer down.

On August 5th in Dallas, Paul and Diaz will square off in the boxing ring. After months of back-and-forth trash-talking, the battle is finally about to happen.

Diaz hasn't competed since defeating Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 in a fight. Days after the victory, he left the UFC to become a free agent.

Paul signed a contract a few months back, and it's anticipated that he'll make his MMA debut in the PFL early next year. The person he will face has not yet been chosen, but Diaz might be a good option.

The latest exchanges between Tyson Fury and Jon Jones have rekindled discussions of contracts for combined MMA and Boxing fights. Though it's an unheard-of idea, Paul apparently tried to make it happen.

"Have offered that to Nate in writing. He has refused it," Jake Paul tweeted.

After losing against Tommy Fury earlier in 2023, Paul is attempting to resume his boxing career. He won his first six professional fights, including victories over Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley, before the defeat to Fury.
