Darren Till Dominates Anthony Taylor at Misfits Boxing 20 with a Sixth-Round Stoppage

In a night to remember, Darren Till marked his arrival at Misfits Boxing with a commanding performance that left no room for doubt about his skillset. On Saturday night in Manchester, England, Till made his promotional debut in the main event of Misfits 20, securing a decisive sixth-round stoppage victory over Anthony Taylor.

Originally slated to face Tommy Fury, Till had to adjust to a late opponent change when Fury pulled out, citing concerns about Till’s adherence to boxing regulations. Beginning on short notice, Anthony Taylor moved up 20 pounds to fight at a catchweight, but the size disparity proved a decisive factor.

From the opening bell, Till set the tone with sharp footwork and a relentless left hand. While Taylor managed to connect a few punches early, he lacked the power to trouble the former UFC star. Conversely, Till’s strikes continually backed Taylor into a corner, leaving him with limited options.

The turning point came in the third round when Till’s devastating uppercuts began to land with precision. One such blow visibly staggered Taylor, forcing him to clinch and stumble to the canvas. Though initially ruled a pushdown, it was clear that Taylor was in trouble. When the fight resumed, Till’s relentless pursuit put Taylor on the defensive.

By the fourth round, Till’s dominance was undeniable. Another thunderous uppercut sent Taylor to the canvas, resulting in the bout’s first official knockdown. Though Taylor displayed heart by beating the count, survival became his only goal for the remainder of the round.

Entering the fifth, Till continued to press forward, but Taylor showed grit, managing to land some shots that bloodied Till’s nose. However, the sixth round saw Till deliver the final blow to Taylor’s hopes. Another perfectly timed uppercut floored Taylor once more. Though he managed to get up, Till wasted no time unleashing a final combination that forced the referee to call the fight.

After the victory, Till wasted no time in setting his sights on future opponents, calling out Mike Perry and Jorge Masvidal while also taking a jab at Tommy Fury. Taylor, meanwhile, hinted at retirement before collapsing after leaving the ring and being transported to the hospital.

Till’s Misfits Boxing debut left fans excited, cementing his place as a rising force in the sport. As he looks ahead to potential matchups, the combat sports world eagerly awaits his next move.
