Danny Sabatello, the fiery former Bellator title challenger, is ready for a fresh start. The 31-year-old fighter has officially signed a multi-fight deal with Rizin FF, marking the next phase of his MMA career in Japan.
Sabatello’s departure from PFL comes after a mixed run, including a controversial split decision loss to Raufeon Stots in 2022, followed by a bounce-back victory over Marcos Breno in April 2023. However, back-to-back defeats to Magomed Magomedov and Stots in a rematch, along with a majority draw against Lazaro Dayron in his lone PFL fight, put his career at a crossroads. At one point, Sabatello even considered retirement, but now, he’s embracing a new challenge.
With his signing confirmed by his manager, Ali Abdelaziz of Dominance MMA, Sabatello is determined to turn things around.
