Chaos unfolded in Dubai's Social Knockout 3 event after UFC veteran Darren Till's boxing debut against Mohammad Mutie ended in a bizarre TKO victory on Saturday.
Till opened the bout with steady jabs, while Mutie relied on looping left hands in their four-round exhibition match. The action intensified in the second round, leading to a clinch where Mutie claimed he was struck on the back of the head. The referee intervened and ultimately halted the match as Mutie remained on the ground, apparently in pain.
The promoter later confirmed Till's TKO win, stating Mutie "didn't want to continue." However, before the official decision was announced, Mutie approached Till to protest the alleged illegal punch. Till, standing in his corner, was then attacked by Mutie. Till responded with a push kick, igniting a full-scale brawl.
“This is fighting, you get hit,” Till remarked post-brawl. “If you don’t wanna continue fighting, don’t be a fighter. He’s not a real fighter. He’s a coward. And then, when I’m minding my own business, he comes and attacks me.”
Till continued, “I’m so sorry. I’m not that guy. I’m a respectful guy. I love this sport. I love Dubai. I’ve been coming here since 2016 so I do want to apologize but I was standing there minding my own business and he came over to attack me with his team. I’ve got to defend myself. I’m really sorry about that guys.”
This fight marked Till’s first appearance since requesting his release from the UFC earlier in the year. He hinted at pursuing other opportunities before eventually returning to the promotion. In his post-fight interview, Till expressed interest in boxing matches against Jake Paul, Tommy Fury, and Mike Perry, labeling them as "scared cowards" and vowing to "f*cking decapitate them."
The dramatic end to Till's boxing debut has left fans eagerly anticipating his next move, both in the ring and potentially back in the UFC.
