Callum Walsh Stuns with Brutal First-Round Knockout at MSG

Callum Walsh continues to prove why he’s one of boxing’s fastest-rising stars. The 24-year-old Irish sensation delivered a devastating first-round knockout on Sunday night at Madison Square Garden’s Theatre, cementing his place as a force to be reckoned with.

With just seconds left in the opening round, Walsh unleashed a flurry of punches that left Dean Sutherland unable to continue, securing his 13th professional victory. The undefeated fighter now boasts an impressive 13-0 record, with 11 of those wins coming by knockout.

While Walsh has built a reputation as a finisher, this was only the fourth time in his pro career that he ended a fight in the very first round—his first three being between 2021 and 2022. His dominance inside the ring, however, continues to make waves beyond boxing circles.

UFC CEO Dana White, who co-promoted the event alongside Tom Loeffler, has fully embraced the boxing world. The fight was broadcast on UFC Fight Pass, showcasing White’s deeper involvement in the sport. His commitment has only grown stronger, with UFC’s parent company, TKO, joining forces with Saudi boxing promoter Turki Alalshikh.

“The model is proven to deliver the fights that the fans want to see,” White emphasized. “The best will fight the best, and the fighters will continue to move up the rankings and become world champions.”

With such a dominant performance and a growing presence in the combat sports landscape, Callum Walsh’s rise is far from over. His latest win only solidifies his reputation as a future world champion in the making.
