Brandon Moreno vs. Steve Erceg Set for UFC Mexico City Main Event on March 29

Brandon Moreno is set to headline UFC Mexico City in a high-stakes flyweight showdown against Steve Erceg. The fight, officially announced during the UFC 312 broadcast, will take place on March 29 at Arena CDMX. This marks a crucial moment for both fighters as they look to reestablish themselves in the title picture.

Currently ranked No. 2 in the flyweight division, Moreno (22-8-2) is a former two-time UFC flyweight champion eager to climb back to the top. After suffering back-to-back split decision losses to Alexandre Pantoja and Brandon Royval, Moreno rebounded in November with a unanimous decision victory over Amir Albazi. Fighting in his home country, he will look to build on that momentum and prove he is still among the elite at 125 pounds.

On the other side, Steve Erceg (12-3) enters the bout as the No. 9-ranked flyweight, seeking redemption after consecutive losses. Erceg made an impressive start to his UFC tenure with three straight wins before suffering a decision loss to Pantoja and then a first-round TKO defeat at the hands of Kai Kara-France in August. With the opportunity to take down a former champion, Erceg hopes to make a statement and solidify his position in the division.

With both fighters coming off recent setbacks and aiming to climb the ranks, the main event in Mexico City promises to deliver fireworks. As Erceg looks to pull off a major upset, Moreno is determined to shine in front of his home crowd.
