BKFC President David Feldman Backs Conor McGregor Amid Controversies, Vows Loyalty and Growth

BKFC President David Feldman Backs Conor McGregor Amid Controversies, Vows Loyalty and Growth

Conor McGregor has faced a tumultuous end to 2024, with his professional and personal life under intense scrutiny. After a jury in Ireland held him liable in a civil lawsuit involving allegations of sexual assault, McGregor lost sponsorships, including his affiliation with Proper No. 12 Irish whiskey. Despite these challenges, the former UFC champion remains committed to his combat sports ambitions, particularly as a part-owner and vocal advocate for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC).

McGregor, who joined BKFC in 2024, has been a prominent figure at events and on social media, leveraging his platform of over 70 million followers to promote the organization. BKFC president David Feldman praised McGregor’s dedication, emphasizing loyalty amidst adversity.

“We don’t want to go into what happened, but at the end of the day, we’re with him,” Feldman said. “He’s our partner, and we’re going to grow this thing together... You’re with somebody through good and bad, not just through the good.”

However, McGregor’s passion sometimes stirs controversy. During BKFC’s final event of 2024, he criticized DAZN, the promotion’s broadcast partner, for failing to provide post-fight interview opportunities for winning athletes. In a now-deleted tweet, McGregor wrote,

“DAZN, I don’t give a f*ck, if you don’t get our winners on the mic, we are done.”

Feldman clarified the misunderstanding, explaining the issue was due to production constraints at the event venue, not DAZN’s actions.

“He’s dead right on that,” Feldman admitted, adding that changes are planned to ensure fighters receive post-fight interview opportunities. “These guys do need to be seen and heard... If they didn’t talk to Conor McGregor after the fights, you wouldn’t know who he is.”

Despite occasional disagreements, Feldman reaffirmed BKFC’s strong partnership with DAZN and his appreciation for McGregor’s passion. In 2025, Feldman vowed to improve fighter visibility while continuing to build BKFC’s brand, calling it an “epic year for everybody involved.”
