Announces Quick Return to Boxing Ring Following Victory

YouTube sensation turned boxer Jake Paul wasted no time in scheduling his next bout after his recent victory over Andre August. Fresh off his win in the main event of a DAZN card, where he secured a first-round knockout against the 10-1-1 fighter, Paul is already gearing up for his next challenge.

While August was not considered a significant test, defeating him marked an important milestone for Paul, as it validated his ability to take on a "real boxer." With the victory behind him, discussions about Paul's next opponent naturally emerged, with one prominent name being Tyron Woodley. Woodley, who was present at the DAZN event, has previously faced Paul in the boxing ring and expressed interest in a third fight, preferably in the PFL cage.

Despite Paul's earlier signing with the MMA organization in January, his focus appears to remain on boxing. Today, Paul revealed his plans to return to the ring on March 2nd, marking only the third time in his career that he won't be in the main event.

The upcoming event, based in Puerto Rico, will be headlined by Amanda Serrano vs. Nina Meike, with the added highlight of Javon 'Wanna' Walton making his professional boxing debut. Walton, known for his role in HBO's "Euphoria," is transitioning to a boxing career, a move that resonates with Paul's own journey. Paul expressed his excitement for the event on social media, emphasizing its significance for Puerto Rican boxing and women's involvement in the sport.

While Paul's opponent for the March 2nd event has not yet been disclosed, it is expected to be a challenger of similar standing to August, aligning with Paul's transition into traditional boxing. Details about the event itself, including whether it will be on pay-per-view like Paul's previous fights, are yet to be revealed.
