Pantoja vs Erceg at UFC 301
UFC Flyweight Champion Alexandre Pantoja

The highly anticipated flyweight title bout between Alexandre Pantoja and Steve Erceg has been officially announced for UFC 301, promising an intense five-round contest for MMA fans.

Pantoja, the reigning flyweight champion with a record of 27-5, is coming off impressive victories over Brandon Moreno and Brandon Royval in 2023, showcasing his dominance in the 125-pound division.

In a recent interview on UFC Fight Pass show Bancada, Pantoja expressed his respect for Erceg's skills, acknowledging,

"He’s a tough opponent... He’s tougher than Royval and Moreno for me because he comes from down the rankings and he has nothing to lose."

On the other hand, Erceg (12-1) has been on a winning streak since joining the UFC in 2023, culminating in a spectacular knockout victory over Matt Schnell last March, proving himself a formidable contender in the flyweight division.

The upcoming event, scheduled for May 4 at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will also feature exciting matchups such as Michel Pereira vs. Mahmud Muradov in the middleweight division and Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Iasmin Lucindo in a strawweight bout.

With the flyweight title on the line and a stacked lineup of fights, UFC 301 promises to deliver thrilling action and memorable moments for fight fans around the world.
