After The Final Bell

After an MMA fighter’s career is over, they typically have a few different career paths. Some become coaches or trainers, passing on their knowledge to the next generation of athletes. Others find roles on television as analysts or interviewers, and some even venture into acting. However, many fighters, especially those who haven’t achieved significant fame, need to pursue other jobs to make a living.

Just depending on if they had a basic life skill and previously had a job or career. Their dedication to the sport, their goals and aspirations seem to hinder any type of secondary education. Did we

mention (CTE) and other fight related injuries can prevent future physical labor. Then off course you get the "Ones" that go broke, fall off the map of existence and go back to being the nobody they were, and they just cannot handle that. However to those that enter the workplace these other options do exist.

Some options include security, coaching, sports education, teaching, gym management, nutritionist, strength and conditioning coach, and even working as a bouncer. It’s not uncommon for former UFC fighters to continue working regular jobs, such as in construction, politics, or law enforcement, even after their fighting careers. So, yes, professional fighters often transition to other professions once their fighting days are behind them. 🥋💼
